In the wake of the recent Supreme Court verdict affirming President Tinubu’s win, the PDP Governors’ Forum reiterates their trust in the judiciary. The decision came during a meeting in Abuja where they also discussed crucial national issues.
The Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, emphasized the belief in the judiciary’s ability to uphold justice in political matters. The forum also expressed concern about inconsistencies in the application of precedents, particularly in Plateau State.
Governor Mohammed reaffirmed their commitment to democracy and good governance, stating their determination to bolster the PDP as a robust opposition party.
Furthermore, the PDP governors called for immediate government intervention in stabilizing the national economy, addressing inflation, unemployment, and offering relief to Nigerians.
Prominent governors and members of the PDP National Working Committee attended the meeting, signifying their united stance in post-election actions and the pursuit of a stronger opposition role.
