The Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has submitted a request to the Oyo House of Assembly seeking approval for a loan amounting to 150 billion Naira from Afrexim and Access financial institutions.
The purpose of this loan is to expedite the completion of the ongoing Rashidi Ladoja Circular road and enhance critical infrastructure that will alleviate traffic congestion within the Ibadan metropolis.

During the plenary session on Tuesday, January 16, the Speaker, Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin, shared the Governor’s message with the assembly members. Governor Makinde also sought approval for Abdul-Raheem Abdul Rahman as the Chairman of the Oyo State Education Trust Fund (OETF), and Nureni Adeniran as the Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board.
Acknowledging the importance of supporting the state government’s efforts to improve road projects and infrastructure, the Speaker emphasized the need for the House to be provided with detailed information on the loan repayment plan and other crucial details for legislative considerations.

In addition, the Speaker directed the two nominees to appear before the relevant House Committees for screening.
