The Ido Local Government Legislators have come together to express their admiration and appreciation for the remarkable infrastructural development projects spearheaded by the council chairman, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo. In a joint statement signed by the lawmakers and made available to Today Splash, they commended the chairman for his tireless efforts in shaping the local government according to their shared aspirations.
As the legislative arm of the Local Government, the lawmakers emphasized their commitment to ensuring the responsible and effective utilization of council resources. They acknowledged that the chairman had managed these resources judiciously for the betterment of the people within the Ido local government area. The legislators also highlighted the direct impact of the chairman’s initiatives on the lives of the residents, emphasizing that they are the true beneficiaries of these development projects.
Looking ahead to the second phase of development, the legislators urged the council chairman to continue inclusivity in project implementation, ensuring that every corner of the Ido local government benefits from these transformative endeavors.
The Leader of the House, Hon. Omotosho Rafiu, expressed his commitment to remain loyal to the Council Chairman, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo. He emphasized that the two arms of government can maintain a cordial relationship as long as the chairman ensures that the dividends of democracy reach the people.
The statement further outlined the first phase of the developmental projects, highlighting key areas where progress has been made. In Ward 1, significant strides were made in road projects such as the Ajiboro Onikanga to Mabolese road and Elere Akilo to Onifufu Bore. In Ward 2, the focus was on road development, including the Aba Epo Akinsunbo Ogunsiji road and Latayo road in Akufo, alongside the installation of boreholes in Aba Odo. Similar initiatives were carried out in Ward 3, with road upgrades and the provision of boreholes and solar panels in various villages. Ward 4 witnessed road improvements and borehole installations, provisions of Solar lights, while financial support was given for bridge renovations in Mosoke Osajin and Atalare. Ward 5 saw the construction of a road and the installation of a borehole, provisions of Solar light with financial aid provided for community bridge renovation. Ward 7 received financial support for road grading and bridge renovation, while Ward 8 saw road improvements, street lighting, and the renovation of a transformer.
These development projects underscore the council chairman’s commitment to improving the lives of the residents of Ido local government, and the legislators are united in their support for the continued progress and inclusive growth within the community.
