Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission has announced that the Ido Local Government Election would no longer be holding today Sunday, 23th May, 2021.
The Chairman, OYSIEC, Aare Isiaka Olagunju, while briefing the newsmen at the OYSIEC headquarter, Agodi Ibadan, Sunday afternoon, stated that the new date fixed for the election is Saturday 29th of May 2021.
Olagunju said the commission regrets the inconveniences the latest development might cause.
He said: “The materials we need are yet to arrive but the election will be adjourned till Saturday 29th of May 2021.
“We appeal to you for your forgiveness as this is mainly to ensure that we have credibility in the election.
“Thanks so much for your cooperation.”
