The Chairman, Displinary Committee of the Park Management System (PMS) in Oyo State, Mr Mukaila Lamidi, popularly known as ‘Auxiliary’, on Friday, feted orphans at two orphanage homes in Ibadan, to mark 2022 Children Day celebration.
The two orphanage homes visited are Taiwo Adeyanju Centre for Children with Special Needs and Jesus Children Mission, Bodija, Ibadan.
Lamidi, who was accompanied by the Special Assistant to the Governor on students Affairs, Hon Victor Olojede, the National Association of Nigerian students Joint Campus Committee, Oyo state, Students Union President of various Tertiary institutions in Oyo state and other executive members of the PMS to the homes, put smiles on the faces of the orphans when he donated food items and other materials.
Among food items donated are bags of rice, noodles, detergents, toiletries, among others.
Addressing the ophans, Auxiliary said he decided to celebrate with them to make them feel the mood of the celebration (Children Day).
He implored the orphans to keep hope alive, charging them to be serious with their studies.
He called on philanthropists and well meaning Nigerians to assist the less privileged in the society as a way to lessen the pains of the needy in the society.
The NANS JCC Chairman of Oyo State, Comrade Adeleke Quadri, appreciated the PMS chairman for the great gesture and for the good working relationship that exists between the PMS and the Oyo state Students.
