The All Progressives Congress (APC) has made a significant decision to dissolve the Rivers State Executives of the Party at all levels. In a recent meeting held by the National Working Committee (NWC) at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, a seven-member Caretaker Committee has been appointed to oversee the Party’s affairs in the state for the next six months. Chief Tony Okocha will serve as Chairman, alongside Eric Nwibani as Secretary.
The main responsibility of the newly appointed Caretaker Committee is to conduct a comprehensive and fresh electronic party registration for all members in the State.
Additionally, they will prepare for the upcoming congresses to facilitate the emergence of new Executive Committees at various levels, starting from the ward to the State.
The inauguration of the Caretaker Committee will take place on Friday, 24th November 2023 at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
