Great nations of the world were not made through rocket science but through quality delivery on their Educational sector coupled with adequate funding for beneficial researches.
The United State of America was once a colony of the great Britain but they have tremendously developed their Educational sector putting them in the forefront of global Development and diplomatic relations.
Education in the year 2022 in Nigeria’s public tertiary institutions was not a priority to the group of people in the central Government because the electorates that elect them have not done due diligence in checking their records on Educational Advancement.
It is evidently visible that Nigerian needs to be realistic on Educational funding. The sector needs the Government, The Private Sector, Non Governmental organizations and well to do individuals to input their all in the Development of this dilapidated System in the sector.
The duty of the Government should be sincere in policy making and implementation, they should not create unnecessary interruption in the sector. They should also factor in the inputs of the other sectors of the economy that is Paramount for the re-evaluation of the whole Education Sector these were the word of Hon Oluwafemi Akanmu Marquis at the occasion.
Celebration of People that are doing well in the Education Sector should not be undervalued as the National Parent Association of Nigeria (NAPTAN) of Oyo State did in appreciating important members of the society including Hon Oluwafemi Akanmu Marquis on their inputs on the Education Sector on the 27th August 2022.
The other awardees at the event include Commissioner for Education in Oyo State, Barr. Abdurahman Abdularhoeem, Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe (PDP Candidates Oyo South Senatorial District) Chairman Of Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYO SUBEB), Hon Musiliu Akinremi Jagaban (Member Federal House of Representatives) Hon Yusuf Shuaib Oladayo Agba Egbe (Executive Chairman Ibadan North Local Government) and Host of others.
Hon Oluwafemi Marquis have been God sent to so many families on their Educational development through his NGO Oluwafemi Marquis Foundation (OMF) as well as the Organization he has served previously as President and Chairman.
He has awarded children of public primary school full tuition scholarship for Private Secondary School Education. He also empower the youths via Skills and Leadership Training.
Also to note is his support to the training of over twenty perfects from schools in Ibadan North Local Government of Oyo State on Leadership and Entrepreneurship through camping Academy.
He’s the initiator of JAMB (UTME) tutorial for students that are preparing for university Education in Ibadan North Local Government.
The award was not a surprise as it is important we appreciate those that have done well in the Education Sector to encourage them to do more for Humanity.
It will also be a wake up call to other important personalities in Oyo State and Nigeria at Large. Since Nigeria independence was gotten through Youths that are highly cerebral through quality Education.
