A frontline Senatorial aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party for Oyo Central Chief Oyebisi Ilaka has greeted Muslims in Oyo state particularly Ummahs in the Oyo Central Senatorial zone on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Fitri, which commemorates the end of the Ramadan fast.
Ilaka in a statement issued by his Media office said that the Eid fitr is a period which offers an opportunity to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and should not only remind Muslims of the virtues of peaceful coexistence With their neighbors, but to also love and exhibit tolerance as taught and lived by the Holy Prophet.
Ilaka noted that ” The virtues lived through the period of Ramadan should be our regular way of life as that is what Allah as prescribed for all true Muslims” He said further “The Prophet has set clear examples through his life of piety and fervent worship of Allah for all devout Muslims to consistently emulate in their daily lives”.
Ilaka who was the former Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde said living a life devoted to serving Allah is particularly important now when these virtues are required for healing our State, Country and also strengthen our bond as humans.
While Ilaka who is the Ladilu of Oyo Kingdom wished all a happy celebration, he again admonished the people to take time out to pray for the leadership of the state, led by Engr. Seyi Makinde, He also called on the people to take advantage of the ongoing voters registration and get their PVC’s.
