There is no other way to qualify President Olusegun Okikiola Obasanjo in Nigeria than being a Father of the Nation. Since he left office in 2007, he has been consistently showing concerns for Nigeria.
In Africa continent, most especially in Nigeria, every parent whether rich or not would do what Sen.Ike Ekeweremadu has done to save his child. May we not be in a terrible condition to take horrible decisions.

Though plea bargain is not officially part of the system in England and Wales, except in complex fraud cases, but the Judicial sentencing guides those who plead guilty at the earliest hearing over other crimes may be given reduction of up to a third of the sentence.
The international courts allow sentence negotiations for even most heinous offences, including genocide, and crime against humanity.
This act of former President Obasanjo clearly shows that he remains one of the few Global Leaders that still exist. May God Almighty keeps him healthy for Nigeria.
While thanking Chief Agbe Loba, President Obasanjo for appealing to United Kingdom Government on behalf of one of the senior citizens of Nigeria, a serving Senator, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu to temper justice with mercy. This is a call on other former Presidents in Nigeria to also emulate the father- figure attitude towards Nigerians, history will be there to judge everyone.
