The Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Oyo Central district Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka has penned a goodwill message to governor Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde who clocks 55 today, describing him as a rare gem and an achiever.
Ilaka, in his congratulatory birthday message, said Makinde is worthy of celebration having excelled in private life as a business owner, an experience that he has brought to bare on his public life with the same outstanding result.
The statement reads in part “I congratulate Engr (Dr) Seyi Makinde for attaining such milestone of his life and career in public service.
“On this occasion of your emerald anniversary I am writing to wish you a happy birthday and to thank you for your selfless service to our dear state.
“You are an inspiration, and I hope you have many more years to keep up the good work.
Thank you for your inspirational, courageous and exemplary leadership as evident in how you have focused on infrastructural development across the state .
Ilaka who was the former Chief of Staff to governor Seyi Makinde noted further “You have proven beyond every reasonable doubt that you are an exemplary role model to the younger generation, not leaving out everyone else seeking to have a rewarding career in public service.
The Ladilu of the Oyo kingdom wished Makinde many more fruitful years ahead. Happy 55th Birthday to a colossus!”
Also, the Oyo-born politician wished residents of Oyo Central senatorial district and Oyo state a Merry Christmas, urging them to use the occasion to reflect on why Jesus was born. “Christmas is a time to show love to the less Privileged amongst us and to also embrace peace”.he added. Ilaka wished all a Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year.
