Member of the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Prince Olaide Akinremi popularly known as Jagaban has finalized plans for another double empowerment programmes for his constituents.
The first is a fish processing and packaging training & empowerment programme which is set to benefit hundreds of women and youths, while the second is an empowerment programme targeted at public secondary schools within his constituency.
The fish processing and packaging training & empowerment programme with the theme, “Skill Transfer on Fish Processing and Packaging Technologies for Women & Youth” is set to commence on Thursday 15th December 2022, and will run till the weekend, from 10am daily at the Prince Akinremi Jagaban Hall, Samonda Ibadan, and it is another programme through which Hon. Olaide Akinremi Jagaban continues to encourage entrepreneurship in a bid to assist his people in attaining self sufficiency.
On the other hand, the “Empowerment Program on Laboratory Equipment/Kits for Selected Secondary Schools in Ibadan North Federal Constituency” is also scheduled to hold on Thursday 15th December 2022, starting from 10am at the NISLT Headquarters, Samonda Ibadan. This empowerment program is also set to feature the distribution of computers to the selected schools, all in a bid to enhance effective teaching and practical demonstration for maximum academic assimilation of students.
Hon. Olaide Akinremi who recently organized a workshop for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M) Teachers in 30 public secondary schools within his constituency, where he distributed science laboratory equipment to all 30 participating schools has continually contributed in no small means to the sustenance of public school’s education in Ibadan North and by extension, Oyo State.
With constructions of well furnished classrooms across different schools, to distribution of writing materials to pupils, to distribution of free JAMB/GCE/NECO-GCE forms, and scholarships to indigent students among other educational interventions, Prince Akinremi Jagaban has proven over time to his people that he is committed to the educational needs of their children.
This latest double training and empowerment programmes are set to greatly benefit the people, as the fish processing and packaging equipment set to be given to beneficiaries will be of great entrepreneurial help to participating women and youths, while the laboratory equipment and computers set to be distributed to schools will be of great assistance to the educational ambitions of students in Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
