The crisis within the administration of Seyi Makinde is festering. The deputy governor, Raufu Olaniyan, afraid of his dear life, has reported Mukaila Lamidi, chairman of the disciplinary committee of the Park Management System, PMS, to police and the department of state security, DSS.
This Newspaper learnt that when Auxiliary, as the PMS boss was eventually invited to give his own side of the story, he denied it, saying that the ‘deputy governor is my father’.
Olaniyan, this newspaper understands, had petitioned the state police command, after his convoy had allegedly been trailed on several occasions. He had fingered Auxilliary.
”Initially, the police told the deputy governor why he did not inform the governor who is the chief security officer of the state. Olaniyan replied them by saying that he is the affected person and the police is the appropriate quarter to channel such. In fact, the deputy governor’s aide de camp, who also witnessed the trailings, had to write report. He was there for three hours. The deputy governor didn’t stop at that, he went to DSS.
”I think that prompted the police to invite Auxiliary for questioning. He denied the allegations. He even said that the deputy governor is his Baba. The police is looking for ways to further investigate the matter,”.
Message sent to the police public relations officer, Mr. Osifeso, has not been replied as at press time.
Meanwhile, a petroleum station and bakery, belonging to the wife of the deputy governor, Prof. Amdalat Olaniyan, have been vandalized by suspected transport union thugs.
The incident took place around 8 pm, few hours after political thugs disrupted and injured many Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, members at a parallel congress held at Jogor Centre. More than 50 vehicles were vandalised.
The vandalised property, Dayream Petrol Station, Agugu has a gas station and a bakery in the same compound.
