Governor Yahyah Bello of Kogi State have confirmed the defection of the former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani Kayode to the All Progressives Congress.
The governor who made this public on wednesday, february 10, while speaking to Newsmen after revalidating his APC membership in okene, Okene local government, kogi state.
Meanwhile, there have been speculation around since a picture of Fani Kayode meeting with some APC leaders in Abuja surfaced on the news, observers have been left with uncertainty about the continuity of Fani Kayode’s membership of PDP.
Though, Femi Fani Kayode had earlier cleated the air about such speculation through a facebook post he made on Tuesday on his facebook handle, saying his meeting with the APC leaders were non-partisan, it was just a discussion about the state of the nation
However, Governor Yahyah Bello in a viral video online was quoted saying “Our brother and friend, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has joined our party in good faith. He is joining our party to come and add his own positive energy and make contribution into ensuring that APC is a party to beat.
“Remember that Chief Femi Fani-Kayode was a foundation member of this great party. Due to misunderstanding, he decided to port elsewhere, now he has decided to join our party, approached me, and by the mandate given to me by the party, I must not segregate or discriminate against any individual,” he said.
Fani-Kayode, who is very active on social media, is yet to react to Bello’s latest comment.
