Unknown gunmen on Thursday evening abducted a traditional ruler in Iku quarters, in Ikare Akoko, headquarters of Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State, High Chief Mukaila Bello.
It was gathered that Bello, who was said to be the ruler of Iku Quarters in the ancient community, was kidnapped with three other persons.

The victims were said to be on transit to Ikare-Akoko from Akure, the state capital, when they were ambushed on the road.
The driver of the vehicle conveying the victims was reportedly macheted by the gunmen and is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Owo.
Those kidnapped alongside the traditional ruler were another chief in the community, Yeye Gbafinro, a former House of Assembly candidate for Akoko North East State Constituency and APC chieftain, Adeniran Adeyemo, as well as a community leader, Bashiru Adekile.
It was learnt that the kidnappers had not been in touch with the victims’ families.
