The hugely popular and very respectable Islamic cleric Shielk Taofeek Akeugbagold has described the PDP Oyo Central Senatorial candidate Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka as a generous and God Fearing man whom he had known for a long time.
Shielk Akeugbagold made the remarks at the Hijjrah 1444 luncheon organised by the Oyo state government to mark this year’s celebrations. The cleric while speaking as the guest lecturer at the event which was well attended by top Muslim personalities in the state, noted that he had known Ilaka for a long while and can testify that he is a man that is not only generous but committed to the welfare of Muslims and service to humanity.
Earlier in his lecture Akeugbagold reiterated that hard work is the key to success stressing that the prayers for miracles and sudden wealth can not replace diligence, patience and hard work.
Dignitaries at the event included the Executive Governor of Oyo state Engr Seyi Abiodun Makinde, Deputy Governor Barrister Adebayo Abdulroheem Lawal, PDP candidate for Oyo Central Senatorial zone Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka, top government functionaries, Party leaders and Islamic clerics from across the state.
