The campaign momentum of the Oyo State PDP surged today, April 17, 2024, as it made a significant stop at Irepo/Oorelope/Olorunsogo federal constituency, where Hon. Kazeem Olayanju, alongside his vice, Hon. Adetoro Adegbola, received the party flag to represent the PDP in the upcoming election on April 27, 2027.
Led by the Director-General of the Election Management Committee and the Secretary of the party in Oyo State, Alh. Wasiu Adeleke, the campaign drew members of the State’s executive council and the election management committee. Also present were Hon. Yusuf Yinusa, the Oyo North Senatorial chairman of the party, Hon. Oladele Saminu, the Assistant Secretary of the party, and other key party officials.

In his address, Alh. Wasiu Adeleke urged the constituents to turn out in large numbers on April 27th to vote for all PDP candidates, emphasizing that a victory for the PDP would bring forth numerous opportunities for party members. He assured those who may not secure elective positions that appointments would be available to them once the party clinches victory.
Hon. Niyi Adebisi, the Commissioner for Establishment and Training and the coordinator for the local government campaign in Okeogun Zone 2, commended the unwavering support of the constituents for the government and the party. He urged the candidates receiving the flag to view it as a call to serve and to be inclusive in their approach to party members.
Among the notable attendees were Hon. Yakubu Ladoja, Hon. Abiodun Oni, Hon. Nasiru Ogede, and other party leaders and stakeholders from the federal constituency.
The campaign rally underscored the PDP’s commitment to grassroots engagement and its mission to empower the people. With the rallying cry of “PDP… Power To The People,” the party aims to mobilize support and secure victory in the upcoming election.
