As part of measures designed to celebrate and appreciate Governor Seyi Makinde’s political ally, Otunba Seye Famojuro, on the occasion of his 51st birthday, five chairmanship candidates on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have donated essential food items to a HLA Handicapped School, Agodi Gate, Ibadan.
The gesture according to Akeem Olatunji, chairmanship candidate in Oluyole and Barrister Ayodele Adekanbi, the Director General of Oyo state Agency of People Living with Disabilities, who led other chairmanship candidates to the school extolled the virtues of Otunba Famojuro describing him as a rare gem.

The presentation of food items to the school on Wednesday, February 14, also had in attendance, PDP chairmanship candidates of Ibadan North; Seun Olufade, Akinyele; Wole Akinleye, and Kamorudeen Mudashiru; Lagelu local governments.
Olatunji and Adekanbi who spoke on behalf of others described Otunba Famojuro as a visionary leader committed to properly mentor, groom, and position future leaders from the young crop of politicians in the state.
Also described as an exceptionally selfless leader, Olatunji said the gesture was part of Otunba Famojuro’s way of openly identifying with physically challenged and less privileged members of the society.
The food items which include a 50kg of rice, several cartons of noodles, spaghetti, biscuits, candy sweets and sanitary pads for girls were also to enable the students and their teachers share in the birthday celebration, Olatunji has said.
“This philanthropic gesture not only celebrated Otunba Seye Famojuro who is our leader, mentor and benefactor, but also aimed to make a positive impact on lives and well-being of students and the school as a whole.” Olatunji said.
In her reaction, the Head Mistress of the school, Mrs. Adewale E. O. expressed gratitude to the chairmanship candidates of PDP who made the presentation to the school on behalf of the birthday celebrant, Otunba Famojuro.
She described Governor Seyi Makinde as friend of the masses and prayed for the celebrant and electoral victory of the chairmanship candidates ahead of the coming April, local government election.
