The Kamoru campaign took a significant stride on Thursday as it convened ‘Obas and Baales’, traditionalists, and representatives from Christian and Muslim communities across Lagelu local government area. This gathering marked the official flag-off of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) local government election campaign in Lalupon.
The meeting served as part of a series of engagements undertaken by the campaign council with key stakeholders and organizers from traditional, religious, and professional backgrounds since its inception.
During the sessions held with various bodies, the campaign council introduced Kamoru, the Lagelu-PDP chairmanship candidate, along with his vice, Sodiq, and fourteen councilorship candidates to community stakeholders and organizers. This event underscored the pivotal role of religious and traditional institutions in grassroots social and political development.
Acknowledging the party’s flag-bearer, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, his vice, and the fourteen councilorship candidates, the traditional council of Lagelu local government, and all faith-based stakeholders expressed confidence in their ability to lead with competence and dedication in local affairs.
The gathering included representatives from the Peoples Democratic Party stakeholders, leaders, and elders caucus, party faithful, traditional rulers, campaign council members, and faith-based leaders from across Lagelu local government area.
