The Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission has successfully revitalized the State Legislative arm, ensuring better and more efficient service delivery over the past four years. Dr. Abdul Waasi Musah, the Chairman of the Commission, highlighted this achievement while presenting the 2022 Annual Report.
This marks the third annual report presented by the Commission since its establishment in December 2019. Dr. Musah expressed pride in the remarkable accomplishments of the Commission during the past year. The series of achievements have positioned the Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission as a leading force in the State and the Southwest region.

Overcoming various challenges such as staff shortages, irregular power supply, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and strike actions by PASSAN members, the Commission has demonstrated resilience and dedication. It has also prioritized addressing matters related to career progression for staff in the legislative service, ensuring fairness and adherence to relevant guidelines and circulars. These efforts have positively impacted the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
In a significant milestone, the year 2022 witnessed the publication of various essential working tools such as the legislative scheme of service and condition of service, marking a new era in the legislative service. Dr. Abdul Waasi Musah expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of Governor Seyi Makinde, acknowledging his crucial role in empowering the Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission and the entire legislative arm of the Government in Oyo State.
The Chairman also extended appreciation to Rt. Hon Speaker, Adebo Ogundoyin, for his support and alignment with the Commission’s vision. Furthermore, he recognized and thanked the management and staff of the Oyo State House of Assembly for their contributions to the Commission’s success.
