Oyo state government, through its local government chairmen, has commenced the distribution of stationeries to students across government-owned primary and secondary schools in the state.
The project, which was unanimously flagged off by the 33 local council chairmen to mark their 100 days in office, was said to be executed under the directive of the Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, towards ensuring a hitch-free learning process in the pacesetter state.

Speaking on the distribution of the writing materials, the chairman, Ogbomoso North Local Government area, honorable Akanji Kabir Ayoade, said the move was part of efforts to improve the quality of education in the state.
He added that the distribution of the exercise books and other writing materials were connected with the distributions of 2.7 million exercise books to public school students earlier flagged off in March by the state government
You will recall that the 33 local government chairmen have earmarked humongous sum running into millions of naira as directed by governor Makinde to cater for education, agriculture, health, and security in their domains.
