The Oyo State Government has issued a stark warning to the public about fraudulent individuals who have been exploiting the state’s pensioners with false promises of expediting their gratuity payments.
The Commissioner brought to light the fact that the Ministry has been tracking a series of fraudulent actions by certain individuals who aim to deceive pensioners awaiting their gratuities.
He strongly advised the public to remain vigilant to avoid becoming victims of these deceitful practices carried out by unidentified groups of individuals.
Commissioner Adebisi encouraged retirees seeking to process their gratuities to directly contact the Ministry without the use of intermediaries, to prevent any potential exploitation.
Adebisi further assured that any such fraudulent activities would not be tolerated under Makinde’s administration, warning that offenders will be dealt with strictly according to the law.
On a similar note, Permanent Secretary Mr. Olajide Okesade asked pensioners to work in harmony with the Oyo State Government in meeting its objectives.
Okesade reaffirmed that the Ministry remains open and accessible for all necessary consultations, and they are diligently working towards improving the process of distributing retiree benefits in a manner that is suitable and convenient.
