Osun Governor-elect Senator Ademola Adeleke on Sunday shed tears of joy moment after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him winner.
Adeleke defeated Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress(APC) with 403,371 to 375,027 votes.
The governor-elect, in a video obtained by The Nation, was sitting with his siblings Deji Adeleke, Dupe Adeleke and Edo and Bayelsa Governors Godwin Obaseki, Douye Diri in the midst of supporters in his residence.
As soon as INEC announced him winner of the poll, Adeleke stood up and prostrated for his elder brother.
He hugged him and they held their head closer to each other.
Few seconds later, he burst into uncontrollable tears with his brother, Deji consoling him.
One of the aides called for an handkerchief for the Governor-elect.
Adeleke joined politic in 2017 shortly after the death of his brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke who was the first civilian governor of Osun State.
