Four serving members of the House of Representatives from Oyo State have pledged their support to the leadership of the party in the state.
In a joint statement issued on Thursday, the four APC members-Hon. Akeem Adeyemi, Hon. Jide Olatubosun, Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe and Hon. Olumide Ojerinde- said all tendencies in the state chapter of the party agreed to work with the leadership going forward, in order to ensure the party has a united front heading into the 2023 general elections.
“Sequel to the meeting held at the Oluyole Estate residence of our leader, Late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, convened by his wife, Dr. (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi, in the interest of APC Oyo, werein all tendencies in Oyo State APC agreed to work with the State Party Leadership going forward to ensure APC Oyo has a united front as we approach the 2023 general election.
“We the undersigned totally agree with the resolutions reached at that meeting and we therefore are not in support of the letter dated 17th May, 2022, addressed to the APC National Party Chairman, in respect of Suit No FHC/ABJ/CS/ 147/2022, as we believe this may truncate the ongoing reconciliation process,” the statement read.
