The People’s Democratic Party Senatorial Candidate in Oyo Central, Chief Bisi Ilaka has congratulated the executive Governor of Oyo state Engr. Seyi Makinde on his emergence as the Party’s governorship candidate.
Ilaka in a media statement made available to newsmen indicated that Makinde’s performance since assumption of office has been simply outstanding, noting that the governor has not only raised the bar of Governance but has also taken the state to higher heights in infastructural development.
Ilaka who at a time was the Chief of Staff to the governor remarked that, “Makinde is an examplary leader whose plans and vision will bring Oyo state to a place of envy in the country.”
The Ladilu of Oyo Kingdom noted further that the governor’s victory today is a reflection of his hard work in ensuring that residents of the state are exposed to the good life, asserting that the victory is the Party’s way of saying thank you to his Excellency for making the PDP proud.
The Oyo born Politician, thanked the delegates for making the right choice not just for themselves but the entire state.
Ilaka reiterated that the governor’s performance so far will definitely make the 2023 elections in the state a work over not just for the governor but every candidate of the PDP. He however advised members and candidates of the party not to rest on their oars, but continue to work hard for the party and people of the state.
It will be recalled that Governor Seyi Makinde today at the People’s Democratic Party governorship primary defeated Barrister Hazeem Gbolarumi with 1040 votes.
