A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered that former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman be remanded in Kuje prison in Abuja pending the consideration of his bail application. Justice James Omotosho issued the order on Thursday, July 11, after Mamman was arraigned on a 12-count charge bordering on money laundering offences. The naira has returned to depreciation against the dollar in the foreign exchange market despite the increase in Nigeria’s external reserves. FMDQ data showed that the naira depreciated to N1523.85 against the dollar on Monday from N1509.67 traded last Friday.
